UNICEF – NGO Consultation for Partnership in Humanitarian Settings ‘Enhancing the Culture of Partnership’
UNICEF and ICVA are hosting the UNICEF-NGO Consultation for Partnership in Humanitarian Settings ‘Enhancing the Culture of Partnership’ which will take place on 11 and 12 November 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Consultation follows a scoping study conducted by ICVA in 2019 on UNICEF-NGO partnership in humanitarian settings and aims to strengthen such a partnership. The organizers of the Consultation intend to bring together some 50 participants from NGOs and UNICEF, who, together, will contribute concretely to improving the partnership, with priority given to colleagues delivering to children and their communities on the ground. The expectation is to agree on a set of recommendations and ways forward. For more information, please refer to the concept note here.
Registration requests can now be submitted online through this link. Interested participants are encouraged to apply as early as possible but no later than CoB 10 October 2019.
Important elements to note:
- Participants should be fluent in English, ICVA members or having concluded a Programme Cooperation Agreement (PCA) with UNICEF over the last 5 years.
- NGOs are encouraged to participate by bringing concrete experience on the consultation themes and/or partnership with UNICEF.
- Please note there is a maximum number of participants and that submission of the registration application does not guarantee acceptance to attend the consultation. Depending on available capacities, you will receive a confirmation of attendance via email following your registration. You will only be registered once you receive a registration confirmation email. Registrations are not transferrable.
All travel and accommodation costs must be borne by the participant. However, the organizers will have the possibility to sponsor a limited number of national/local NGO participants, who will be selected in consultation with ICVA, and encourage other partners to sponsor NGOs within their networks if possible.
