Telenor Pakistan is pleased to be supporting the humanitarian organizations to reach out to people of Pakistan in collaboration with Telenor bank (Telenor Group Company) for the disbursement of cash grants especially in this pandemic situation by  following SOPs shared by GoP. Telenor being leaders are catalyst for change and provide easy and fast disbursement solutions through their Digital platform that provides ease for the end user (Disbursement Process shared below).   

Please also note that Telenor Pakistan is also offering number of value added services that users can register themselves through their mobile phone at a very minimal cost. Currently specific to the current circumstances amid the Covid 19 outbreak a user can easily access the services pertaining to Health (Khushaal Sehat” and “Khushaal Zindagi”) by just dialing a code and payment will be deducted from mobile balance.

Furthermore locus attack is one of the major pain points of farmers these days and their Crop Insurance policy “Khushaal Tahafuzz” provides coverage against it. Lastly sitting at home you can enjoy agriculture related information agritainment and participate in live shows as well by accessing our “Khushaal Nama” Services.

Last but not least, this pandemic situation along with obvious health related impact , also poses a serious impact on behavior changes in the population and Telenor can enable people to send their customized  messages  with gender bifurcation, age and location through SMS, Robo calls, dedicated IVR  etc., across 07 Millions users registered on its Digital Platform to nurture them to alleviate the physiological and behavior impact/distress, anxiety and fears.

Telenor have been continuously bringing innovate products and services on their platform and a couple of more products related to Livestock and Crops are in pipeline and will be launched in next couple of weeks time.

National Humanitarian Network Pakistan

A volunteer network, founded in 2010 in result of interactive dialogue in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) “to act as an independent and vibrant voice to engage with stakeholders throughout Pakistan for promotion of humanitarian values by influencing policies and building capacities to ensure right based humanitarian response”. 172 humanitarian organizations are members of NHN from across Pakistan and it is open for all national and local organizations engaged in humanitarian assistance or disaster management advocacy.  NHN focus on “Effective and Accountable Humanitarian Governance” – mainly in Response and Disaster Preparedness through four major areas i.e. “Coordination/networking, Advocacy, Capacity Building and Information Management”.

NHN is a key network in Pakistan which is well connected with various stakeholders and demonstrated its effectiveness to do proper advocacy and lobbying for access, space and principled response. NHN supports stakeholders in collecting and timely sharing of critical information for preparedness and response as its members are spread across Pakistan and even in hard to reach areas.
