Orientation Webinar on 5W data collection for humanitarian response
About the webinar
Pakistan is responding to the worst humanitarian crises in its history. Record monsoon rains and melting glaciers in Pakistan's northern mountains have brought floods that have affected 33 million people and killed at least 1,314. Responding to the needs of the affected population is becoming ever more complex and challenging. In order to better coordinate and collect the response data from local humanitarian stakeholders, National Humanitarian Network has collaborated with UN OCHA to utilize a uniform 5W data collecting tools. The tool will help the humanitarian stakeholders as well as the government to access the response activities on the ground in order to take better and informed decisions. In order to orient the local civil society in the process of uploading and sharing of data on the tool NHN under the banner of Pakistan Resilience Partnership has conducted the webinar. The webinar was facilitated by Miss Rashmi Rita who is serving UN OCHA as Information Management Officer. She has been deployed in Pakistan to help OCHA to better coordinate the Flood response activities in the country.
